i'm affectionate, inqusitive, ambitious, and that's all. i enjoy red wine, hugs, guacamole, the ocean, feeling loved, making people smile, and coffee and flannel on sunday afternoons. this tumblr is a documentation of that awkward growing up period between being a child and being an adult. last week i read slaughterhouse-five by kurt vonnegut, and this week i’m reading extremely loud and incredibly close by jonathan safran foer. there was no method to me choosing these books, i bought slaughterhouse-five because i had wanted to read it for a while and i bought extremely loud and incredibly close because i want to see the movie when it comes out, but not until i read the book first. i didn’t even buy these books on the same day.
just realized that both books, written forty years apart and in very different styles, give very descriptive, thorough descriptions of the same historical event, the bombing of Dresden in WWII. weird coincidence.
